Presented
by The Avalon Beach Chamber of Commerce and Pandora Jewellery,
Avalon Beach Village Festival is back for the second year
and will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2008.
This
will be a huge celebration with Avalon’s finest business
establishments showcasing their furniture, home wares, fashion
and food.
Avalon
will be celebrating World Music Day, with world music artists
performing on five separate stages scattered throughout the
village including Karifi (stars of ‘07 festival) and
Sydney based MardiGras high-energy samba rhythm band Sambalouco

presenting Jazz artist, including the enigmatic Jeff Duff
and Band, and special DJ’s Bad Teeth.
Concluding
with an exclusive in concert appearance of the Royal Navy
Big Band who will also end in a special sunset ceremony “Beat

Avalon
will be hosting special country guests this year with “Mudgee
Comes To The Sea” a food and wine tasting extravaganza
throughout the village showcasing the best wine and local
produce from the region.

Enjoy
music influenced by the infectious sound of Brasil's Rio
Carnival with a funky twist. Sambalouco's explosive 15-30
minute repertoire gets the party started and people moving!

Sydney's
hardest-working singer / piano man Lionel Robinson celebrates
the release of his new CD "Polar Bears in the Snow"
with a lunchtime appearance at Avalon Festival, in the company
of local legends Andrew Oh and Darcy Wright, with Andy Byrnes
on drums. Infectious Latin rhythms, some brand new songs as
well as some vintage classics will be coming your way. Check

the close of day there will be the draw of the Monster Raffle,
the value of which is in excess of $10,000 that has been donated
from Avalon businesses with first prize $5,000 worth of wonderful

the evening a party will be held at the Avalon RSL Club with
Marsala and DJ’s performing (same as last year’s
sold out Avalon Surf Club Party). Tickets are available from
